शहर ले जाने के लिए भी निजी वाहन तक ससुर को पीठ पर ले जाना पड़ा बहू के मुताबिक , परेशानियां यहीं खत्म नहीं हुई थीं । स्वास्थ्य केंद्र में ससुर का टेस्ट पॉजिटिव आया । डॉक्टर ने ससुर की हालत गंभीर बताते हुए उन्हें 21 किमी दूर नगांव के कोविड हॉस्पिटल ले जाने के लिए कहा । स्वास्थ्य केंद्र से उन्हें एंबुलेंस या स्ट्रेचर नहीं दिया गया । इसके बाद मैंने एक प्राइवेट कार का इंतजाम किया । इसके लिए भी मुझे ससुर को पीठ पर उठाकर काफी दूर चलना पड़ा । लोग घूरकर देख रहे थे , लेकिन किसी ने मदद नहीं की । ससुर लगभग बेहोश ही हो गए थे । उन्हें उठाने के लिए मुझे मानसिक और शारीरिक रूप से काफी ताकत लगानी पड़ी । ससुर को पीठ पर उठाकर सीढ़ियां चढ़नी पड़ी निहारिका ने कहा कि नगांव पहुंचकर भी मुझे कोविड अस्पताल में ससुर को पीठ पर उठाकर सीढ़ियां चढ़नी पड़ीं । वहां मैंने मदद के लिए कहा , लेकिन कोई व्यक्ति आगे नहीं आया । मुझे लगता है कि मैं उस दिन ससुर को पीठ पर उठाकर करीब 2 किमी तक चली थी । इसी दौरान किसी ने निहारिका की फोटो खींच ली होगी । अकेली और पूरी तरह टूट चुकी महसूस कर रही थी : निहारिका निहारिका भी कोरोना पॉजिटिव हैं । उन्हें सोशल मीडिया पर आदर्श बहू के तौर पर बताया जा रहा है । उसकी हर जगह तारीफ हो रही है । लोकल न्यूज चैनल से लेकर बड़े पत्रकार तक उससे संपर्क कर रहे हैं । इससे निहारिका खुश हैं । उन्होंने कहा कि हर व्यक्ति को एक दूसरे की मदद करना चाहिए । हालांकि , निहारिका ने कहा कि फोटो में एक चीज नहीं दिख रही , वह यह है कि मैं उस समय अकेली और पूरी तरह से टूट चुकी महसूस कर रही थी । ससुर को नहीं बचा सकीं असम की इस कहानी से गांव में स्वास्थ्य हालत की पोल खोलकर रख दी है । निहारिका ने कहा कि उसे गांव में एंबुलेंस तक नहीं मिली । छोटी सी वेन में शहर लाना पड़ा । अच्छी बात है कि इस दौरान ससुर को ऑक्सीजन की जरूरत नहीं पड़ी । हालांकि , दोनों को 5 जून को दोनों को गुवाहाटी के मेडिकल कॉलेज में रेफर कर दिया गया था , जहां सोमवार को थुलेश्वर दास का निधन हो गया ।
